DOC Colli Euganei Merlot
In the recent Euganean history this is the grape that has gradually replaced, since the last world war, almost all the old native Paduan vines, due to its productivity and pleasantness of taste.
It occupies several plots in Faedo and Arquà Petrarca, mainly on calcareous clay. Ages at least two years in large oak barrels from Slavonia, thus enhancing the typical fruity, full and round taste.
13,5 % vol.
Several plots of land facing south-east with calcareous clay, warm, mild to medium deep, well framed ground.
Stainless steel, then aged in large oak barrels.
Service and pairing
Uncork a little in advance and serve around 18 degrees. Full-bodied, tannic and with a great fruit: it manages exquisite pairing with rabbit meat with herbs.
