Marzemino Passito – IGT Veneto
The Marzemina grape is often used nowadays in Veneto to produce simple wines, that are usually easy to drink, sweet, in many occasions sparkling as well.
But it can be different: in fact, its thin skin facilitates the withering on racks and this process allows to get in early December/January a sweet wine of very different thickness and intensity.
The selection of the finest grapes of our “Belvedere” vineyard is the correct premise for this aromatic red wine, perfect for desserts and after dinner, recapturing the ancient Venetian customs.
Marzemino nero 100%
14 % vol.
In Faedo, Belvedere area. Limestone ground, warm and shallow, rich in structure.
After about three months of drying, the grapes are pressed and left to macerate for 3-4 weeks. During this period, the fermentation starts spontaneously, to go on in spring achieving a balance between natural sugars and alcohol. The ageing continues in tonneaux.
Service and pairing
